1. Renewal Payment
First and foremost reason for many accounts getting suspended is for not
paying hosting bill regularly or by forgetting to do so. Typically many
hosts provide an e-mail notification to pay bills on time. If you fail to
read the mail by ignoring it or if by chance if it gets landed in your spam
box, you are unlucky person. So your bills aren’t paid on time and your
account gets suspended.
2. Plagairsm
Plagairsm is nothing but copyright violation. Publishing other’s work/article
as your own or by posting other’s copyrighted content without their permission
can lead to serious trouble. If the author of the original contents becomes
aware about you and about your activity of copying his/her content and publishing
it as you’re own, then the author may contact you requesting to remove those
copied contents. If you fail to remove it, then the author will find out
who is your web host by using WHOIS service and will contact them requesting
to suspend your account. Worst case, the author may file a case on you in
his/her local court or lodge a complaint via DMCA which may lead you to
pay heavy fines.
3. Violating Terms and Conditions.
A web hosting company has its own set of rules written. A customer must
read all those T&C before buying a hosting account. Do NOT blindly check
“I agree” radio box and continue to shop. You must read all the points written
by the host. Different hosts have different set of rules. If you fail to
comply with those Terms and Conditions, obviously your hosting account gets
suspended.
4. Extensive server resource usage.
Majority of the websites are hosted on a shared server. This system uses
one single server to host many websites. So a web host will set CPU and
RAM usage limitations for all the accounts. This will be included in terms
and conditions by many hosts. Few even mention the percentage of limitation
on an account. So it is very important for you to read this information
on every host’s T&C before choosing one. If your site starts consuming more
resource, your account will be suspended.
This is nothing to worry. It’s kind of good news if your site is getting
more traffic. Or it’s a bad news if your site is not getting more traffic
but still suspended. This usually happens when your site’s content is not
optimized properly. If you have good traffic, optimizing your site might
get those resource usages back to normal. If not, you can opt for VPS hosting
to get rid of these limitations.
5. Spamming and Phishing.
This is one of the most dangerous reasons to get your account suspended.
Intensive spamming on other’s website to promote your website will lead
to suspended account. Though spamming is not so dangerous, Phishing is deadly.
If you use your website to cheat people by pretending or selling things
online and illegally collecting their Credit Card / Bank Account information
to make money, your hosting account gets suspended and you may face lawsuits
by the cheated customers.
6. Hosting Illegal Content.
Using your website to host illegal content such as pirated software, movies,
music etc will lead to suspended account. Even hosting torrents will lead
to the same. This is very dangerous and companies may as well file a case
on you via DMCA.
If your site gets suspended, you will see a message that your site has been suspended. Then you will have to contact your host immediately to know the reason why. Your Account will remain suspended for a period of 5 days only once it is suspended, then we do reserve the right to delete the account from our server without further notice to the client.
